Hey everyone, it’s Kelly from Raven Rocks Precision. Bill is usually the one you see, but I wanted to hop on quickly and talk about some 10mm bullets that reloaders are really excited about right now. First, a lot of competitive shooters have been enjoying the heavier 230-grain FMJ boat-tail projectiles. They’re extremely accurate and give you a great cost per round when you’re putting in a lot of practice.
The classic full-power 10mm load most people think of is built around a 200-grain jacketed hollow point. Nosler has excellent load data on their website if you’re ever looking for a good starting point.
If you want something lighter that still shoots really well, 165-grain jacketed bullets—whether FMJ or JHP—are fantastic because you can load them for full-power 10mm or drop the charge and run them in .40 Smith & Wesson without changing anything.
And one question I keep seeing everywhere is whether there’s a true frangible option in 10mm yet. The answer is yes: Cheseroni makes a 125-grain 10mm frangible bullet. They break up just like the extremely popular 94-grain frangibles in 9mm and are perfect for indoor ranges and steel setups that don’t allow lead.
That’s it for now! Thank you so much for all the reviews and messages—they really mean a lot to us. If you have questions or feedback, feel free to drop them in the comments or send an email. Thanks for watching!.
